While West Virginia was busy throwing up the Money Manziel celebration, Aggies student assistant Mike Richardson appeared to be taking cheap shots at Mountaineers players on the sideline.

Richardson appears to shove a West Virginia player in the back of the head.

He also gets a bit aggressive with an elbow as a player sails past him.

The student assistant in question is a former Aggies linebacker and probably didn’t think much about getting a bit physical on the sideline. Richardson moved from the playing field to the sideline after breaking his neck during a game and having spinal surgery.

Unfortunately for him, there’s already a precedent for this sort of thing.

Texas A&M led West Virginia 28-27 at halftime and held on to win 45-37.

UPDATE: Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin was made aware of Richardson’s behavior during halftime and the assistant will not return to the sideline.

UPDATE 2: Postgame comment from Sumlin: “(Richardson) did not return to the field, and he’s already been sent home. That’s nothing that we condone. There’s nothing about that whole situation that’s a part of who we are and what we believe in.”

UPDATE 3: The Mountaineers player who was hit in the head, Daryl Worley, was understandably salty.
