The starting quarterback was carted off the field in the second quarter, and rookie Tom Savage entered the game. Houston later ruled Fitzpatrick out for the rest of the day.

Early reports indicate Fitzpatrick has a broken leg and will be out for the rest of the season.
The immediate result wasn’t pretty. Savage, a 24-year-old Pittsburgh product, had some trouble with a hand-off to running back Arian Foster. It was a costly turnover.
