The co-host of the top-rated “Fox NFL Sunday” weighed in on the 49ers quarterback and other players who’ve taken a knee or raised a fist during an appearance on the “Fox & Friends” morning show Tuesday. When the host asked Bradshaw about the “national epidemic” of Kaepernick and other protesters such as Antonio Cromartie of the Colts taking a knee or raising a fist to protest police brutality and social injustice, the old Steelers quarterback sounded off.

If NFL TV ratings continue to fall, things might come to a head, added Bradshaw. Because that would impact the profits of the billionaire owners who control the league, he noted.

Bradshaw commended Kaepernick for bringing attention to real issues. But like a lot of Kaepernick critics, he wishes the 49ers backup quarterback hadn’t brought the flag and “The Star-Spangled Banner” into the middle of his protest.

A politically incorrect Bradshaw also bemoaned the growing immorality of American culture — and warned we’re “rotting” from within.

Maybe the repercussions he warned about have already begun.

The Colts released Cromartie, a former Pro Bowl cornerback, on Tuesday only two days after he took a knee during the U.S. national anthem at London’s Wembley Stadium.
