MORE: Arkansas QB Cole Kelley arrested on DWI charge

Lee’s punches knocked Greenstone to the ground.

Greenstone is a former Vanderbilt football player and also acts as the Tigers’ “get-back” coach, keeping players who aren’t in the game away from the sideline to avoid a penalty.

“We, of course, do not condone any act of violence within our department and are very disturbed by the action of one of our students,” TSU athletic director Teresa Phillips said in a statement to The Tennessean. “We are committed to supporting the coach who was personally affected and our concern now is with him.”

Lee, a 6-2, 240-pound senior from Dothan, Ala., did not play in Saturday’s game, a 23–20 win for TSU. He was dismissed and expelled Saturday night, per The Tennessean report.
