This comes in the wake of the channel’s new five-year contract with the World Wrestling Entertainment which begins from January 2015.

“Taj TV Limited and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) have reached a new agreement starting January 2015 which will see WWE available exclusively on Ten Sports Network for a further five years till 2019. WWE has enjoyed enormous success on the Ten Sports network, having been broadcast on Ten Sports since the launch of the channel in 2002.” the channel said in a statement on their website.

Fans will not have to wait to watch ‘RAW’, ‘Smackdown’, ‘NXT’ and Total Divas anymore. The channel will also offer these weekly shows in shorter versions as well as a customized 1 hour ‘RAW’ programme with a ‘local flavor tailor-made for the Indian audience’

Ten Sports CEO Rajesh Sethi spoke about the deal,

Ten Sports Network already holds exclusive rights to major sporting events like the UEFA Champions League & UEFA Europa League Rights, Commonwealth Games 2018 and football in Germany and England.

This comes as a major relief for Indian fans who had been craving for live wrestling content for years but had to be content with delayed broadcasts.
