RELATED: Temtem: Things The Game Does Differently Than Pokemon
And while Shin Megami Tensei may never reach the same popularity as Pokemon, it created a lasting legacy that many game developers strive to imitate today. Temtem is a creature-collecting game with lots of similarities with Shin Megami Tensei and Pokemon while still introducing fans to new gimmicks. One aspect that Pokemon fans may recognize is Dojos, which resemble Gyms. But, Dojos in Temtem have a unique gameplay twist that some players may not be aware of, especially the seventh Dojo in Temtem, the Lochburg Dojo.
Lochburg Dojo Battle Mechanics
Unlike other Dojos, the Lochburg Dojo doesn’t have any particular puzzle to complete (like the Quetzal Dojo), but instead, players will need to beat several Tamers one after the other. But, these battles are “Gauntlet” style, meaning that players will need to beat all of them in a row before being able to heal or revive their Temtem or even reach the Dojo Master. If a player backs out of one of the battles, the fights will reset, forcing them to fight again.
So, players will want to bring enough battle items to heal/revive their Temtem team before starting the fights. Certain Gears will help players beat all the tamers with ease. For example, the Full Restore and Balm+++ will help players fully heal their Temtem during a battle.
Dojo Tamers & Dojo Master
The highest-level Temtem players will need to face will be a level 75 Golzy, which is part of Murdag’s (Dojo Master) lineup. So, as long as the player’s Temtem team is above level 70, they should find these fights easy to complete. Players will need to beat four Tamers before proceeding to Murdag, but once they beat all four Tamers, they can heal their team freely without resetting the fight.
Carlos’ Temtem Stats & Battle Tactics
Players must fight Carlos first before moving on to the next Tamer. By this point, players should be familiar with his lineup, but for the most part, players will want to use a strong Melee Temtem. Seismunch, Maoala, and Koish (Melee) are all worthy Temtem to use for this fight.

Evelyn’s Temtem Stats & Battle Tactics
The second Tamer battle consists mostly of Water and Melee-type Temtems. The highest-level Temtem this Tamer has is Magmut, a tanky Temtem with high HP and Defense. But, the real dangers are Gyalis and Nessla, as they both have powerful Technique attacks. Players should ensure their team has at least one earth-type Temtem to counter these Temtems, like Vulffy or Seismunch.
Murphy’s Temtem Stats & Battle Tactics
Murphy is the third Tamer players must fight to move on in the Lochburg Dojo. He only has a team of three Temtems, so beating him shouldn’t pose too much of an issue. The biggest threat in his team is Gazuma since it boosts the speed of allied Temtems. So, players should focus their attacks on Gazuma first before fighting any of the other Temtems.

Ryan’s Temtem Stats & Battle Tactics
Players should be careful when facing the final Tamer since Golzy is among the best Electric & Melee Temtem. And that’s because of its secondary trait, Voltaic Charge, which reflects 10% of a Technique attack. So, the players should avoid using powerful single-target attacks on Golzy and instead use basic attacks to beat it.
Murdag’s Temtem Stats & Battle Tactics
Once players beat the four Tamers, they’ll be able to face Murdag, the Dojo’s master. But, before facing her, players should heal/revive their team since she has a full set of six Temtems. Additionally, players can loot 2x Max Scent and 1x Fat Burner before reaching Murdag.
During the fight, players should be careful of Monkko since it has a powerful secondary trait that increases its Special Technique attack by 10%. Moreover, Skunch’s secondary Trait, Bully, increases its damage output by 30% while outnumbered. So, the best way to handle these Temtems is to focus on them entirely since ignoring them can disrupt the flow of the battle.
Temtem is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
